spent some time today making a start on the drivers side door skin, have made a practice one and am happy with how it will all turn out, so on monday will obtain some alloy for the real deal.
thanks chris for the lend of the door, was quite handy.

right, one doorskin done then, first attempt at pressing the handle in-dent, was a failure, so lesson lernt, the way to go seems to be to press the handle hole first ,then align the panel in regards to the swage and handle in-dent lining up.
what happend was the handle ended up on the piss,as there is minimum control to keep it in any one position while pressing it.
its pretty slippery as im using a bit of cooking spray to help the pressing process.
you may have to use your imagination at this point as there are no pics.

but the good news is that the place we are parked is owned by a really good old guy, who hosts a garage night on wednesday night where all these people come and work on their cars, and have been invited to park my car in his shed and join in.
I am their official panel and paint guy LOL

i wonder who is getting the better deal out of this (by the look of your workmanship, i'd say they are on a winner with you as their panel and paint guy!!!! )
