3D printing of car parts

Post by dirtyleppa »

hey guys, my cousin is looking into purchasing a 3D printer which can make about anything plastic in a 120x120x120 size or smaller. its basically a smaller version of a CNC machine which does plastic instead of metal.

he has asked me to inquire about interest in car parts with the club to see if its a viable option for him to purchase. he thinks he can make most small car parts in that size, be it badges, gear knobs, plastic clips or hard to get parts you may be wanting.

let me know if you have any ideas as to what you may be keen on or any help you may have with this

cheers,

dylan

badges was the first thing that come to my mind as well, especially if they can be chrome plated afterwards.
