Re: D1RTY6 's 1978 C331 Gloria SGL-E
I was planning on doing this but the more i thought of the blue combination with the brown it almost scares me. but defiantly an option...who knows it might grow on me. if i do go down the route i think i might stick to the wrinkle black rocker cover thoughBartman wrote:Pleae paint your engine the same colour as nissan painted it. (Whatever colour that was for the L series?)
and yes Torqued has already messaged me for the motor, im sure ill be able to sus some thing for him.
what are all these engines for if you dont mind me asking?

Good work - i would have kept with the injection and just bolted the stuff to the l26 or waited for a l28 then just swap over the computers etc - maybe hang onto it for later on down the track as you may want to revert back to original etc - worth more if / when you sell it etc.

Black block man, you won't regret it.
I mean yeah sure you can argue about the whole "origional thing" but to most other people ( not datsun nutters ) the blue would stand out like a sore thumb and the black would look oem.
if it ever needed changing back in 1 weekend with 1 crate of beer and 1 engine crane and 1 can of blue paint it can all be put back to factory
Just like 111 but the cops wont be involved
Blue is all happening for the sump and rocker cover though

Re: D1RTY6 's 1978 C331 Gloria SGL-E
So had a reasonably productive weekend
got the majority of the engine pieces unbolted, all that's left is a heater hose and the gearbox mounts. (going to pull it all out as one unit)
so here's how it its as of now.
Just waiting on an engine crane should hopefully have one to use this weekend.
Just cause .....here's a picture of what the "new" engine and what it looks like before i tidy it up
so that it for now, pay day this week so the L6 will be getting a make over.
i keep dreaming of these, will defiantly be a future mod

Ye-Ya, now you're talking, they sound awesome! This car has cool already, but that would add a whole heap more.
