Hi all,

I bought this today.its a 1977 datsun 260z race car.was advertised on the zcar club forum.

As for now i want to get it running and try it out at pukekohe.the old guy raced it before.the good thing is its a road n track car with half rollcage,lowered,adjustable front lower control arm etc...
To be honest i will need to do some research about track events and see how i go.Just want to get the feel of it and then will decide what to do next.
I got heaps of paper work for the car,what all done to it with receipts etc.the old man is a builder and he has spent lots of time n cash on the car.
Those carbs really looks cool i must say.will post update as i go along.

That looked like a really good buy, I'm sure he could have gotten way more than what he was asking for it. You've done well :)

Its back on road after 11 years in storage...
As for now its running a stock L28 with twin su carbs just to drive it around and will get the race engine back in after i sort out a few things.
If all goes ok i will be at the taupo track day next year.
