3 or 4mm Aluminium Plate

Post by Datto_610 »

Hey guys I'm wanting to make something like this for the inlet of my turbo. I have some 2.5'' O.D ali pipe left over from doing my cooler pipes so wanting to make use of it and the factory one that bolts to the turbo is pointing pretty much at the wheel arch so not alot of room for piping. Think I'll need at least a 100 x 100mm plate anyone got some scrap lying round at work or something?? I have a few offcuts of 2.5'' pipe so could maybe look at making a few more if anyones keen???

Cheers

Talk to my TIG welder mate. (txt me if you need his number again) He could whip up something like that in his sleep.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Ive got some 100X100X5mm box section in my shed sitting there i could hack 100mm off and send it to you. I was thinking of using it as a square surge tank but came up with what i think is a better idea.
Im really keen for one of these if you want to make one up for me as well.
Isn't the inlet of the turbo alot smaller than 2.5" though?

That would be great! Was thinking 5mm would be better. The outlet on the flange I have is 2.5'' but its 2'' at the turbo end would that be much of an issue?? And it's aluminium you have? I can anodise them at work if there made from ali, I have about 5 or 6 50mm long pieces of 2.5'' tube so will make a few if I can.
