Haha I bloody hope not!....

Val is my mates, ("rwd_mayhem" on oldschool.co.nz) Many good times road tripping in that thing, i swear its a lounge on wheels with all the room it has. (I think you may have potentially done some rust repairs on it?)

Mrs wanted to get into something Old School and asked me to find her something, ended up getting this off an old guy in temuka for a very nice price.

I was trying to find her a 510 (1600), but this popped up and was to good to refuse.

For those who dont know, its a 1969 AMC Rambler Rebel. :burnout:

Progress!!!!

Image

I Know its not much, but it is something!

Pulled the old L20 out, will be replaced with the L26 i got of Mutiny quite some time ago

Clutch was pretty stuffed, so i ordered one in should be here tomorrow! will bolt everything up to the 26 and slip it back into its new home!

Plan is to just get it back up and running on a stock carb i have sitting there, this will be replace by some triple 40 DCOE weber sidedraughts!

Minor update,

Been slowly putting this thing back together, trying to have it on the road by the end of April, fingers crossed

Need some one who can remove these bolts they have snapped off when i removed the manifold and seem to have been in there for a very long time, any ideas of places or people that could help?

Image

Am willing to pay beer money if someone can successfully get them out! i have tried everything except welding a rod to them as i don't own a welder

Cheers

Greg and myself have what is called "Datsun Sunday" so I'm away for Easter but you could bring it out on the sunday 7th and we could have a stab at it.

It wouldn't take much to drill them out and re thread tap them, usually if you drill them carefully you can jamb something in the hole and wind out the rest of it, if not just go up in sizes and bang a thread tap into it.

Otherwise exhaust shops or engineer's do this type of thing all the time.
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30
