Burn or Bury

Post by unlimitedpower »

I work in a small auto electrical workshop in spare parts i do all the inwards goods.
Now a problem i face every day is what to do with all the plastic rubbish.
Id love to recycle it but thats not going to happen, My superiors won't go down that path, If it doesn't make them money or it costs them more time then it not going to happen.
Before i started in this job they used to burn it all. Everything went in the incinerator. Ive been sorting the cardboard and plastic wrap and burning the cardboard and putting all the plastic wrap and courier bags out in the rubbish each week.
But really what is better.
Do i Burn the plastic and pollute that air or put the plastic in the rubbish each week like i have been doing where it will go to a landfill and stay for the rest of eternity.

Give me your thoughts.

Not sure about the normal rubbish but the courier we use at work takes back all the used bags coz they recycle them.could be worth asking the couriers?

Bury. Plastic is pretty inert. It wont create leachates that might fuck the groundwater. But plastic smoke is shit for the air. (Unless you can burn it with a mega air supply, so it burns very hot and produces fuck all soot/ash.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
