R32 brakes would be quite difficult to use, but still possible i guess.....who is giving you these suggestions? Someone with a 510?
R31 brakes from a solid axle skyline ate an easy fit upgrade. The diff from the R31 is also relatively easy to swap.....just make sure you find an lsd one or there's not much point

Yeah a guy with a 510 sr20det conversion. Used a modified complete r31 rear end. Im going to talk to him tomorrow about it. Il let you know what he sais
Re: My 1972 1600 restoration
R32 brakes do not have a handbrake mechanism on them therefor you will loose your handbrake unless you make up a hydraulic one.

Ive been to talk to the guy that fitted the r31 rear end into the 510 and he said he got it to fit quite easy, used lsd diff but used diff internals from an s14?.
Plus i met the owner of 4vsrotar nats while i was there. His 20b rx3 was there gettin some work.
Im now starting to want a 20b n/a
Instead of a 13b single conversion.
Sounded so good P ported

It may be possible to get the whole R31 rear in, but you will widen the track of the car significantly, so you will have to run very positive offset wheels or huge flares.
If you get a long nose R200 diff you can fit the LSD centre out of a turbo S13/S14/R32 into it with little or no modification usually. Fitting the R200 into a 510 takes a little bit of work (not hard though) including a custom or Datsport moustache bar.
Then you need to custom CV's - talk to Shannon (pl510) about how he did his, he lives in Auckland and is a helpful guy who will know exactly what bits you need.

He said he cut down the axle so it was the right length.
Thanks for your opinion though, the more the better. Il try to get in touch with him
