Ah yes! Pipe for the cold start and idle control needs to go into the intercooler pipe on the intake plenum side of the intercooler

Re: Datto_610's 180B Currently going back together
Well theres no going back now. Hacked off the control arm mounts on the rear crossmember today. Had to butcher it as there isn't much space to get the grinder in there to do a good job of it. Just need to grind off the welds where the old mounts are and somehow find a rather small grinder to remove the rest of it as they are a folded piece welded to the crossmember. Pics will explain better than I have so here they are. Also my arms have been sandblasted and will be getting zinc plated then powder coated as with the rear crossmember once the adjustable set up is finished. Hope its nearly done James! Have to move out of my place in a few months so will need to get it rolling again before then.
I need to enlarge the holes in the control arm and crossmember to fit the bigger handbrake cables for the R31 calipers, finding a large drill bit hasn't been easy as think I'm going to need quite a biggie.

Are you going to increase the exhaust pipe hole while you are on the job before shining it all up again Greg? Admire your commitment Well done.

What size hole do you need and how thick is the material?

Possibly not as the hole in my xmember is 3'' and I plan on running a 2.5'' system so may have enough room already?? I know 510's have a much smaller hole from factory though.classicdat wrote:Are you going to increase the exhaust pipe hole while you are on the job before shining it all up again Greg? Ill have another measure up as I've forgotten now lol. Material will be no thicker than 2-3mm at a guess??DJZ wrote:What size hole do you need and how thick is the material?
Edit: Just checked the Datsport fitting guide for the HB cables and they reckon enlarge to 19mm

Have you got access to both sides? Would be easy to do with a chassis punch or maybe a mag base drill, I can borrow them from work.
