The one you have built have you tested it? and if yes what did you hook it up to?

I haven't tested it in a running car, but i have spoken top the guy who designed it, and he's given me a test program that well make the needle door at a certain rpm, so you can calibrate the tacho. And that works sweet (tacho out of the car and hooked up to a spare battery)

ahh yup sweet. im hoping to get my chip from me mate this week and will finish it off and see how it all goes.

on another note.
after last track day i suspected i might be getting some clutch slippage and i have had this cusco super single clutch setup sitting around since i was going to RB this but changed my mind. A few questions later and i was informed it will bolt up straight to the L. Right in it goes.

One cusco clutch.

Pulled the old clutch out and as i suspected it was pretty much toast.
One disc almost at the rivets.

And a pressure plate showing some signs of heat.

The upside to the cusco setup is it is almost half the weight of the factory setup. So im hoping a little more throttle response is gained.

All i need now is to find a suitable release bearing. The L series one is a bit big in diameter and acts a bit to far out on the clutch fingers for my liking. So im going to go check out a RB one tomorrow and see if it measures up the same as a L one but with a smaller diameter bearing.

No pictures update lol. Got the right release bearing and clutch is all in and good to go for this weekends racing.

I have my tacho all up and running sweet as now. Circuit works mint as. For those with megasquirts i needed a 10k resistor inline on the input to the tacho to pull up the signal a bit more for it. So yeh very happy with it and i can put my dash back together and not worry about that any more.

Good to hear. will be in touch at some stage to pick your brain on the tacho circuit
I will be kicking the standard coil into touch very soon I hope!

Correct. Depending on what size crown wheel bolts you have you may need a small spacer. As the later r200 use 12mm bolts and some are 13mm? But not 100% sure on that

This is 12mm bolts. I havent pulled my 280zx diff apart yet to see what sized bolts but spacers aren't a biggie. Thanks that was the little push i needed haha. Once this is in its cert time and book some ferry tickets.
