soooo, due to the fact wal (2 doors) the master panelbeater/fabricator etc was living just over the hill i thought i'd use his skills to get this thing underway. Was still a good shell under the paint, just a few extra holes here and there but lots of shiny steel were it should be. Anyway, enough blahblah, here's some pics (sorry, camera's in storage so i-phone pics it is)...
i couldn't believe its been in the shed for 2 years when i saw the date on this thread. As for starting it way back then, someone (me) had the great idea to build up a lifestyle block. Bit of advice if you want to do the same......dont .

Not the lifestyle you had in mind? Won't it be worth it in the end?
no, no nothing like that, it will be awesome when its done, but since i've been project manager/builder/painter/plumber/roofer/landscaper etc etc i've been a bit busy holding down a job and doing the block. Got in the way of valuable datsun time as well!!!
i actually would tell anyone who wants to have a go to do it, but just add a bit more time/money than you hope for!!

well boys and girls, another datsun has been well and truly saved from the mini stockers, has been a great mission to get it to this point, but the results are worth the effort.
