Departing at 11am, isnt that a bit late??
Just like Hanmer, leaving earlier gives more time out during the day to enjoy the cruise, rather than be strapped for time during it.

There's a lot of shit to organise for this cruise. Last year I was out of bed and dressed before 7am, and I was still not Halswell till 10:30. (Plus we don't want to be at the pub too early)

Once again I am keen for an earlier start, I would think leaving at 10 or 10.30 would be better, if you say 11 it will be 11.30 before we get away as usual.

Earlier start I think too, as we ant to be in Akaroa for lunch (not getting there at 1.30-2pm) and if the club gets more "member help" for this event then it won't just be the committee members running around tirelessly like headless chickens.

I think if christchurch members as a whole put their hands up to help the organisers this event will be huge and enjoyable for everyone that attends.

Remember this a club event not just the committee's

So how can us members assist with the organisation?
What is left to be done?

If we leave late, whats stopping more members from having lunch at the hilltop pub instead of supporting the club bbq?

Well contrary to popular belief, most things are actually organized.
But it Would always be great to have people helping out with the bbq so the committee can have a sausie break too.
We also pla n to have lots of little fun activities after lunch too so if there's anything you think would be fun let us know.
Oh and we still need a new trophy for most dedicated if anyone has any ideas or bits lying around etc

I have a base made from swap kauri, and James gave us a compressor housing.

Oh and barts gonna make sure he tells everyone that the hilltop stop is just a quick one for a drink rather than spending ages there. Obviously some people might want to break away and not have sausies with the rest of us but can't help that too much, their choice etc. But it will be explained in the pre cruise talk and itinery
