Hey guys I'm about to go into the exhaust guy this morning, and i was wondering what you guys reckon will look better, a side exiting exhaust either in front or behind the rear tyre, (i don't know if i can go in front??, someone please explain the rules to me!) or just keep it exiting behind the car with a new looking tip.
I'm getting the whole exhaust done right back from the headers!
here are some pics so you have an idea on what it looks like
please tell me your thoughts! would be muchly appreciated!

Re: side exit exhaust
the exhaust must exit behind the rear most door.

Re: side exit exhaust
Sounds like you can, but what will it sound like? You won't have any space to fit some resonance in, so it could be harsh or drony. A nice tip at the rear always looks good. Would you have ground clearance issues if you come out under the floor/sill?

Re: side exit exhaust
so i got the exhaust done, and it looks real nice, well i think it does...
its just nicely tuck under the guard/behind the rear wheel..
it actually sounds really good and i managed to get a muffler in just before the diff and its a real smooth sound, seems to have given a bit more power from the larger 2" pipe
heres a photo tell me your thoughts guys!

Re: side exit exhaust
reckon that looks pretty good. i didnt think you would have clearance issues with the exhaust. my ute is miles lower than yours and i only just get some issues with clearance over large speed bumps
