Looking good Luke and it was me that seen you at the air port last week. I think I had major hay fever as my eyes were terribly blood shot and then they called my name out inside the plane

Hey guys thanks for the positive feedback!!! The engineering firm is near bk, il have to look up address for ya.
Engine went in Saturday afternoon, just had to wait for exhaust manifold gasket to show up..... Which it has so might be some dellorto and extractor goodness tonight, all going well. Big thanks to Brendan and Jeremy for their help! Without them it would just be a pretty shell/garage ornament.

UPDATE
trying to polish up the dellorto manifold and trumpets etc, when i noticed that the manifold has 4..... holes. in it that were simply there. i have no idea what they are for except as breather holes to let air in possibly? but 2 of the holes had screws blocking, and 2 had weird somethings in there. again this could just be me lacking knowledge, which is highly likely
by the way dumb down any explanation please im still learning
trumpets manifold and the weird things screwed into it any help would be great..... on a slightly better note, polished bumper too, even though its rusty it look good

Re: Stripping out coupe/Rust repairs/Welding
The bosses are used for a variety of things, it appears yours have been used for breathers. Some people hook these up to the engine breather to get rid of blow-by gases, others connect them to the brake booster.
In your case I would suspect they have been set up for balancing the carbs, Tuning. The vacuum available at each nozzle needs to be the say to show the carbs are balanced. You need to ensure these are sealed when you are using your car, so it doesn't lean out.
Quite common, nothing to worry about, provided you seal them up

so is polishing alloy any more fun than sanding ? I have been polishing mags for 2 days now and it sucks balls,
your carbs look good though, and your doing a great job too.
