Cheers Wal - I really appreciate the feedback. I always come back to the fact that my wife will drive this car and it has to be spot on in the handling and safety department.2 doors wrote:not surprised from the quality of your work, id be very confused if you hadnt, must be a great feeling.
In other news i got started on fitting my bonnet pins today ( yes i know I'm not a fan of these either ) but my bonnet wiggling about makes me nervous since i already had a bonnet flip up on me. The holes made are small so it can be easily reverted back to no bonnet pins once my front end / panel alignment issues have been sorted.
Also scored 40L of 95 from my old man

Not really done any work on my own car lately !
But in between other peoples jobs i made a spare tire holder ( has 2 more fixing bolts and has been welded to replace hose clamps since that picture )
Also made 2 cargo tie down straps so that i can strap stuff onto and around the spare wheel

For $22 at my door I am actually very surprised at how "not horrible" they are. They are quite small and don't look too bad and the mechanism seems to work just fine. They are no Flush mount Aero Catch but for the price they are better than expected.
