welcome man, good to see you going with something different. as for brakes, a simple S13 non turbo upgrade would be good. rear brakes would really depend on tour choice of diff. a hilux shortened to fit, or maybe a live rear axle from a R31 skyline would be a good upgrade

you should start a project thread and keep us updated with heaps of pics

yeah thought hilux to but would defeat the keeping it nissan i want a solid lsd rear just hear people saying that nissan serrana van sr20 had lsd anybody know if its true?
and the s13 upgrade is it easier said than done
yeah will keep the thread going

from what i understand, the S13 brakes just need a custom adaptor bracket for the caliper, which one of the users on here can get made up. and the disc may just need some slight machining down.

as for diff, the serenas do come with live rear LSD diffs, just not many around, and they may have rubbish ratios. skyline i think would be the best option, as you would get a disc brake conversion, and there are alot more around. the only problem being is that they are coil spring, not leaf spring, so have to modify the housing to take the leaf setup on your car

Brock is working on an FJ20 into a 1200 I think it is? He might be able to give you some pointers. His build thread is around somewhere.

Another diff option could be a 620/720 or vanette diff with the H190 head, these won't be straigth bolt in, but I doubt if anything would be, they are Datsun parts, but LSD are not that cheap, but available. All are a bit wide but could be liveable???

With a big heavy lump of cast iron up front it isn't going to handle that well. Are you going to cut the firewall and mount it further back?
