Welcome aboard Nigel, you will find a few ZClub guys on here, most of us like you use the same user name. It will be good to have some more Zeds at events, we've had a few S30 here in Christchurch, but not many. We have some regular S130 series at events, but variety is the spice of life.
All the best with the rebuild, be good to see some photos and a thread so we can live vicariously through your endeavours.

Angola, wow, that has really got around, do you know the history of it?
These are great wee cars, I love them, I have one I drive daily, as the family transport :P Great to have you aboard, I look forward to seeing your ride thread. Are you planning on coming to this part of the world? Several of our members have met up with European members on their travels, we would make you very welcome Down Under :D What is the Datsun scene like in Portugal? We have meets of up to 50 cars here in Christchurch (population about 350,000) and varying sizes in other parts of New Zealand. Lots of variety, but lots of 1200s and 1600s also. Welcome to the site, enjoy the threads, photos and Vids. We look forward to your input.

Portugal is one of the European country's where Datsun is many appreciated.

In 70's the price and is fiability make the car very famous.

In 1972 Nissan in Portugal create the 1200 S1,only sold in Portugal, like you have 1200 SSS

The only problem is the rust, we have many 1200, but also have other models, 120Y, 1000, 100A, Cedric Taxis, Bluebird Taxis, 1600.

I think in Nz you dont have 100A

We call it a Cherry as they did in Japan, this is the front wheel drive A series powered '70s sedan and coupe? The Cedric/Gloria were sold as 240C, 260c, 280C AND Brougham. We also had Australian models of the C110 Skyline, the 240K. When I was a lad the 180B, 610 was very common. Yes Rust was a big issue here also :(

Welcome Valen. Do you have any information on the 1200 S1?
I understand you have quite a 1200 fan base in portugal? Pedro and Daniel Branco are from there, who own Datsun1200.com.
