Agree with Vaughan, and yes a complete running coupe for 3K is a steal (ah Hayden!)
A15 with 5 speed reg/wof & cert, to me adds easily $1500 to the value over the car if it had stock A12 & 4 speed.
so to work backwards from there, you are only paying 4K for the coupe, + paying for upgrades up front that
you would inevitably end up doing anyway (trust me 69hp and 4 speed, is only fun for so long....)

It does look a little scruffy in the paint - maybe a back yard paint job at some point? but hey its straight
100% complete, and it has good condition chrome, door cards, dash, console etc (and they are the hard to replace bits)

All it really needs is some subtle lowering, grill repainted factory colours
or swapped for cheap aftermarket one. only shame is the bodgey bonnet clips

Hot wires could be upgraded down the track when $ permit, and its certed for 14" mags, so thats all good, as opens a lot of options.

I would think if you got it for 5K cash (has been on market for a while after all) then that would be good buying, coupes are getting fewer and far between, and as Vaughan says, sedans are going for similiar money, and coupes are generally
worth more (well I hope at least...) the only thing to check is that it isn't full of rust, and been bogged and jammed up to hold it together.

good luck with whatever you decide, but would recommend having a panel beater or someone who knows a bit about cars give it
the once over if you are not viewing it yourself before you buy.

Hey thanks for the opinions and advice it really helped. I gave the guy a ring last night and Im going up to see it on Sunday. As long as its straight and i dont find bog or much rust then ill probably get it. Hopefully the paint can be improved with a bit of polish, I can get new grill through work for around $80 and the interior should come up alright with a clean.

Hopefully the drivers seats not to bad but I read somewhere its not to hard for an reupholster to re-stitch them, not to sure about this.

Thanks again.

It is bloody hard to repair the seats and have them the same as they were originally. Coupes used a different patterned vinyl and the squab part (always stuffed on the drivers side) has a particularly unusual pattern.
You may be able to use the squab parts of the back seats as that is the same pattern and usually is in prefect condition...
