getting taillight gaskets made??

Anybody looked into getting new foam gaskets seals made for taillights before?? my 1200 sedan has some munted ones, was wondering about getting a run of new ones made if there's a company in NZ that will do it?? cheers

i imported a set of EPDM foam rubber ones for my coupe from a gentlemen in the states from Ratsun.com

Dont recall how I came across the fella, but he did a real nice job, and included the outer and inner seals, I was in the same predicament as you, wondering how to make some from scratch....

Probably doesnt help you, but keep it in mind, if you need any for your coupe, I only brought in two sets (Mint16 got the spare set)

cheers for that, am waiting for replies from a couple of companies about getting some made. Good to know there's people out there making them!!! i'll probably get some sedan and coupe gaskets made up if i can find the right manufacturer, thats the hardest part

no way, make your own! Go to somewhere like Para rubber and buy some foam. It comes in a lot of different thicknesses.

Trace around an old manky gasket and voila!

Thats what I did for my C110 cost me about $10 instead of potentially a hundred.

Yeah the sedan gaskets are a lot different to the coupe ones and aren't just a flat piece of foam. Have already trimmed one out of a piece of foam but I want to get the best seal against water I can, so looking at all options
