quick question folks, why do you guys get extra leaves added ,when the tech link to lowering suggests the removal of 1 leaf as per how the factory did theirs? I did my coupe this way and its lower and handles way better, also the rear no longer leaves the ground over bumps

Well done like keep it going ! Both are looking amazing !

Wal, I don't have leaves so i probably shouldn't comment

I think is because removing a leave reduces the spring rate allowing the car to compress it more and you end up lower.

I think the better way to go would be to add a leave and have the stack reset to increase spring rate and set your ride height, then fine tune with blocks from there.

I'm really not qualified to comment, somebody who has had it done might chime in ?
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

I'm just doing what most suggest lol. Due to lack of knowledge I'm copying. Everybody else's ideas..... dropped the leaves in to Bellamy and east just then with the clear instructions to do Bart's idea. And I'm dropping off my coils to get compressed as they do that sorta thing. Duh. If I put my 60mm shorter shock inserts in how much do I get the spring compressed? The same? Someone answer quick!

I can't help with that. But where did you get your shorter inserts from?

I suggest you dont get springs compressed, instead get some made to suit, or cut and reshape some. Compressing softens the spring and they can bind up.

Pretty sure b&e can make custom springs

Agreed, and if you have softer in the front and stiffer in the rear you are upsetting all the natural balance designed into the vehicle, this could turn it into an understeering pig that can't put power down.
I put an extra leaf in mine and Avenger rears in the front, (as we did back in the day) to stiffen it up up front, worked a treat.

think iv claimed brendans set in his 1200 coupe...? but have to wait 6months for them or something, but my claim is in.

also just bought some ''rat mat'' which is the dynamat sound deadener knock off brand im guessing as i only paid $235 for ten 800mmx400mm sheets of it and the rolling thing delivered to the door. but read up a little on its specs online and its right up there with dynamat and the other posh brands, not exact but close enough for me........

was always in the works to do as i did actually drive this thing home from auckland, and it was not the most quiet of trips. a 5speed helped, but wow road noise sucks.

when it does turn up..... is it worth doing the roof? i imagine that would echo noise right? again.......im probably wrong. but thats why your all here.
