Not Really a photo update because you can't see anything.

Got the Pinion Bearings Pressed in and seated up nicely
And Today i have been working on setting up the pinion bearing Preload from nothing because it seems i have misplaced the old shim that was originally in it way back before it had the lsd.

but I have got the Shaft to spin by hand at the full 200 N/M on the pinion nut so i think another 0.005 added to the shim stack and it will be spot on.

Now I can move onto setting side bearings and backlash.

Cross member will go out for welding on probably Thursday night, and over the next weekend i hope to have the diff somewhere near ready for installation.

prob seen these in gregs thread but these are the same bolts i am using
Image

and this is the bit of welding i got andy to do just because i wanted to see how good it was, came back mint !

Sorry James I haven't look back through the thread, I guess there is an awesome cad drawing to answer my question, but what locates the adjustable bolts, is there an eccentric or other device or does it just rely on the bolt tension.
Looking good James, keep it up.

Hi Vaughan, the compression of the bolt holds it in place, I will be using those special Nordlock anti slip washers, the tension on bolt also holds it in place.

In other News i had no Cross members or diffs on my bench so i did some preliminary mockups of secondary pipes for my headers.

the piece to the left of my hand is the turbo feed, and imagine the piece to the right of my hand wasn't there and a merge collector in its place.

Not shown in this picture , but my intake manifold actually uses a phoneloic spacer that lifts it up another 15mm
