Re: Cams 1200 Sedan
Time for another update:
I managed to have a bit of shed time over the Easter and the last week so I made some more progress on the datto which has just been fabrication work.
I finished the new turbo manifold:
After welding up the manifold, the flange plate got a bit warped so I bolted it to a length of heavy steel and put in my dads kiln for a few hours, I had it baking at 670 deg C for an hour, it was an impressive sight at that temp! I tried to get a photo but the heat was too intense!
After it had cooled, the flange was nice and straight and the manifold was now stress free.
I had to also heat up the dump pipe flange as it to was a little warped from the old setup.
Turbo in its new position:
Also had time to start the new Dump pipe which is compared to the old one, should breath a bit easier now:
So just the little bit closer to getting back on the road!

Re: Cams 1200 Sedan
Small update:
I've been struggling to get any work done on my car for a little while now, but hoping to get back into getting running over the next few months.
I thought the best way to start was to get some motivation going so I found something slightly better/bigger/badder! for the turbo manifold!
Went and brought a GTX2863R .64!
So this should get the ball rolling over the next couple of weeks!

Re: Cams 1200 Sedan
Finally some progress on my datto!
I've had the engine out over the last couple of weeks, fixed the oil leak, fitted new cams plumbed up the new turbo and added an extra oil drain from the head.
Also cleaned up the front end for new alloy radiator and intercooler setup.
Hopefully I'll get the engine back in next week and start on the rest of the fabrication work.
Can't wait to drive it again!
