I cant see that it will be any better than when I viewed it 4 years ago...
I set a mate on to it a couple of years back, and the guy wanted stupid money for it, cause "these old school cars are worth heaps now adays".... which is not the case, when the wheels are sunk into the ground, and the rust is so bad, if you threw a tennis ball at the car it would go through a panel.
it is 100% complete, and from memory the interior was tidy but that dark green colour. engine etc was as rusty as if engine had been sitting in a paddock.... what a waste...
been sitting there for probably 12-15 years now I expect.
it is really only mini-stock worthy..... (thought I would never say those words)

I tried to buy the same car two years ago. It is so rusty that when I pulled the bonnet up the skin separated from the frame.
I found out who owned it and he wouldn't except my offer and said he would rather dig a hole and bury it then sell it for what I offered.

What an arsehole of an owner.
Brock and I know of a guy up in Hawkes Bay who was quite similar, his 1200 sedan was very rusty and he said he was going to do it up someday.
Just another 1200 sinking into its own grave.

Yep he had heaps of shiz - including a 120y etc - the 1200 was so bad it was boned to the ground due to is sagging on its own springs over time -poor old girl (its all still there too)mint16 wrote:What an arsehole of an owner.

shed a tear for the poor wee 1200 haha. he would rather push it in a whole then sell it to someone for what would be a fair price? hate people like that. even $500 would be a lot more then a wrecker would give you and someone on here would either attempt to save it or atleast use the parts to save other datsuns...late night mission with a car trailer anyone?

Spotted in WELTEC boy racer car park in Petone, surrounded by flat peak, pie eating, energy drink sculling smokers who do one of the Mechanic or Paint and panel courses, was this little gem:
Looking in really good condition.
