Hey all
Right I'm putting the feelers out for Mr Rick Bone, the driver of the impeccably quick Datsun 1200 coupe with SR20DET (Ex SS2000 A15 Honda destroyer) that now competes in NZGT and does very well! See below for photos
So the SR is getting serious and the H165 that he's currently using isn't going to handle the jandal any longer. To be honest I'm surprised it's lasted this long already.
What he's after is a H190 LSD and if possible an alloy carrier which the H190 came with in certain models (which I'm unsure about).
If you, or anyone you know has either of the above please don't hesitate to contact me. I really want to see Ricks Datsun continue its reign on the class. Seeing $100k+ Porsches being dicked by a Datsun is priceless and good fun to watch too
Thanks in advance for any help or leads given

I don't have a slipper, but I have got a spare alloy head that I'd sell.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

So rare in NZ, you'll be very lucky to find one that someones willing to sell. They come up in Japan every so often. I dont think they go straight into the alloy carriers either some mods have to be done. Can't remember what it involved but didn't worry about it with mine.
This one has been on yahoo Japan forever as its new.

He would almost be better putting an rear end from something else in that has more readily available ratio's and lsd units available.

Yeah I sent him that LSD link from Yahoo. It certainly won't be easy to find one but worth a crack I think. H190s came in a pretty large variety of cars, you don't think he'll be able to get the ratios he would want? I didn't think the H190 was a bad diff if you used the large axle variant, the alloy head and could find/fork out for a LSD.
What's the toyota equivalent? Keeping in mind weight is a large factor to consider
EDIT: I just talked to Rick and he'd be after a 3.9 or 4.1:1. Easy. Now to find that elusive LSD! Time to flex the Japanese sunny friends to see if they know of one lurking.

I know its only thinking out loud
But since the 190 LSD unit looks very similar to a 200 LSD unit
is it worth while having a measure up to see if a r200 IRS LSD unit can be machined down, narrowed up or what have you to suit the R190 solid housing?
