anyone got any good pics of how to deloom a 1200 engine bay? Can i drill a hole in inner guard and run the wire through the inside of the guard and along the front inside the valance? or is there a better way to do it?
if i need to extend any of the wires can i just solder and heat shrink the join?

No tips on the De loom, but yes, definitely solder the joints and use great shrink. Try stagger the hints so you don't end up with a big fat section of loom

Re: delooming 1200 engine bay
I have semi deloomed my engine bay. still work in progress, but have posted some pics up below,
that may be of interest to you.
I have bored 1.5" holes & fitted grommets (ex Basis)
I am running a branch through the A pillar (next to speaker holes) on each side and run them under the lip of the inner guard,
these do all my OEM stuff like lights, indicators, horn, window washer etc
I have 3 firewall penetrations also, one for all my new EFI stuff (injectors, water temp, TPS, VR sensor, O2 sensor etc)
I have another penetration for new main battery cable to starter (ex battery located in boot)
and another penetration for alternator, oil switch, temp, my new coil packs etc
so I wil have no cables around the guards/strut towers etc, and the stuff through the firewall will go quite directly & discretely to the connection points.
