I want to lower my 510 so the rears sit nicely under the guards to match the low at the front. I have lowering springs and even some air shocks just to see how low it is going to go fully decompressed.
Is there some nice tricks to make it low and safe (as in, still having some travel) or is cutting a srt of springs the only way?
How can I lower my 510?

Hey Ging
Greg and myself have done some research into this with his 610 and the almost identical IRS setup.
One thing we found out is that the semi trailing arm has quite a high leverage ratio something like 3.8 or 4.1. Based on this you can have a relatively short spring and still a decent amount of travel at the hub.
If you work backwards from measurements you can work out some spring specs and get somebody like Bellamy and east to manufacture something to suit your car perfectly.
As long as you know the weight of the car, and the static ride height you can bang the numbers into a spring calculator to the desired spring rate. Get it made and get shocks to suit once you know the correct length.

You could do what a lot of guys have done and just make S13 rear coilovers fit. Some people have double plated their shock towers to suit this mod, others reckon they're fine as is.

Just done this with mine, havent done the boot mods yet but also welded a strengthening sleeve over the bottom mount. Only real issue they are tight for space and had to enlarge the top mounting hole slightly to get them in and out.
Only going to put some keeper springs on as is able 15mm off tucking a 15", coilovers are platform adjustable.
