These days? I learnt this trick from a DA5 Integra owner circa 1998! I thought with the affordability of actual VTEC engines it had all but died out! I certainly wasn't dissing Hondas, just relating some of my awesome 90's boy-racing techniques.

Next week: Putting your auto car in neutral at the lights and rolling back for a moment before putting it in drive so that people think you have a manual.
Or, holding it in low until the revs are up, take your foot off the throttle as you shift it to D2, then put your foot on, repeat into drive and you have a manual haha

The 90's was truly special. Especially all the Integras who always thought their car was faster than my GTiR until a session out Waimea West brought them back to reality :P

That is where my hate of Hondas came from. That and the fact they all wore flat peaks and worked at McDonalds. Always wanted an NSX back then though...

theres been a lot of drunken nights in front of this computer screen meticulously studying every mod and how it would improve things hahaha.

finally learning how to talk datsun/ga16de.

@broke...... week after that.... backing off the throttle at certain points when accellerating slightly before powering on so people think you are driving a manual.....

Haha, yeah I was also thinking of a "tech section" where I teach you how to correctly apply black stockings to tail lights for the tinted lights look too.

Did you know the same stocking can be used as an air filter instead of one of those expensive K&N ones for the max intake "ddooooOOORRRT"? :burnout:

I miss my youth :deadhorse:

Oh yeah, that guy's site looks pretty helpful.... but fully ditch the catalytic converter! Keep the sensor thing though, just put a fitting for it on the exhaust. Scrapping it might even pay for some more mods.

Or the "Paint the inside of the light covers so your lights match the rest of the car during the day!

HAHA thats gold John..... you showing your age now!
I did that to my tail lights on my DX in 1994!!!! (even asked my mum for some old panty hose to do it! )

That was just after I had graduated from painting my grills & steel wheels black, angle grinding through coil springs in-situ, home stereo speakers in the back parcel tray connected to jap import tape deck with no band x-pander, poorly affixed apply yourself window tint, and drilling holes in my mufflers for more horse power & raspy exhaust note!

You can tell that GTX pic is old... because it still has the plastic A-pillar covers, unlike every one I see now.

Sorry for going off topic, maybe we need a "reminiscing about the glory days" thread for us old-timers...

Haha, Kitch I also did the home stereo speakers in the back thing.... in my 1981 Mitsi Mirage. Which also had a full 6 piece bodykit (true story!). I'm actually still rocking the "no band expander" in my C32 as well.
