Nearly finished my sound proofing application, pretty happy with how it is all turning out
Just waiting on my ECU back plate back from the painters, before I can finish tieing off
the wiring etc, and then think about procuring the carpet & fitting up heater & console etc

Red optima dry cell fits in my battery box, but crikey its heavy!

New surge tank setup fits nicely, just have to sort out fittings, and mod's to my hard fuel lines
before I fix it in position

Looking at your car, I wish I had gone the full hog with sound proofing now. That undercar surge tank looks sweet too.

Cheers Ginge.

Yeah I went off on a tangent a bit with my sound proofing, as its not something that you see done that much, and
people seldom give it much attention in their builds IMO.
I spent hours and hours researching online, in particular on car audio forums & the likes.
I am sure I will reap the benefits though, with a more pleasurable driving expereince, and hope that others can learn from what I have done.

As long as I don't drown out the sound of my ITB'S as a result!!! ;)

your build is as much an inspiration as it is depressing, I for one wont achieve the attention to detail that you have.

I have also spent a big effort on the wiring of late, and even got the
dash test fitted up, the ECU & relays/fuses are all mounted up
I have gone as far as powering up & checking OEM circuits tonight.
mostly all working sweet, although have a fault in my park light
circuit & tail lamps are not working. but most other things all ok.
I have to fault find, and then tidy up & restrain wiring above pedal
area. once I have all OEM wiring sorted, I will go through checking
all the inputs/outputs for my new ECU sensors & switchs. I also
plan to mount a switch under my centre console to work as a
reverse switch ;)

really stoked with ECU position, its all discrete & hidden by the parcel
shelf nicely.

Very nice Kitch, progress continues ;) You will be pleased with how this has worked out with the Parcel tray. Dash looks great, wheel really suits it. Commitment doesn't look to be reducing ;) Very nice.
