Hi All,
I currently run a stock 1600.
Keen to fit some superlites and would like to achieve the maximum 'dish' possible. Not yet sure on 14's or 15's, but am keen to find out what others have been able to achieve with standard suspension. In my wisdom many years ago I rolled the inner arches so there is a small amount more room in the inner guards.
See image below on the ultimate desired look, with 2 additional doors of course.
As I understand it, 15 and 14 by 7 with 24p offset will fit, however I would prefer a 12p or even 0 offset. Has any one tried, or know of anyone who has machined a set of lower positive offset wheels to fit?
I had also thought of making up some strut tops with an off centre mounting hole to provide some negative camber and allow for some additional rim width (would use camber plates but I dont plan on adjusting once set).
Would welcome ideas/thoughts/views etc
Regards
Nic

Re: Datsun 1600 Wheel Sizes
You could get 14x8s easy enough under those guards with a bit of tyre stretch. even 14x9s if you into wild fitment! and that would be with a negative or 0 offset. for 7s you definitely dont want positive offset if your after some dish.

In the front the camber tops will work but I'm pretty sure these are like the other IRS Datsuns, in the rear moving the strut top has no effect on the camber, you need to move the control arm points, with offset bushes, etc etc. Lowering the car will get you lots of camber anyway.
