With VCC insurance through Vero, it is agreed value. You don't need a valuation and the premium is cheap.

I did once try and get a valuation a few year's ago from that guy Penn McKay on Classic Car Magazine who did insurance valuations, but he had no idea what a very good condition original '69 Datsun 1600 SSS was worth. I think he was talking $2,000-3,000 at a time when it was worth $12,000. Today of course it is worth a fair bit more than that.

That's what impressed me about swann. They said although the club dent have any registered valuers, they tend to have better idea of their cars actual value.
I signed up with swann this morning, too easy, really good to deal with. Hopefully never have to put it to the test to find out how good they really are though!

I changed to swann earlier in the year, and would recommend them. They just wanted a few pics of my car and were happy to cover it for what I wanted, at a really good yearly cost. Also State had access of 5k !! where swann is around $300. Swann also has free? Breakdown cover which can come in handy. They made state insurance look sick.
