What exactly did you use for your fuel lines?
I really like that.
Also where did you buy the fuel line clamps from?

The fuel line is R14 teflon hose with stainless braid, with heatshrink tubing over it. If you use this hose the ends have to be crimped on.unlimitedpower wrote:What exactly did you use for your fuel lines?

Started to unbolt the head on Sunday afternoon with James' help. Loosened the crank pulley bolt by putting a power bar on the end and cranking the motor just a wee bit to loosen it off. Very carefully pried the pulley off with two large flat head screwdrivers worked a treat and no damage to the pulley at all. Labled cam gears and cam shafts and removed those too. Head studs are also out just need to undo a few other bits and bobs and should be able to assess the damage.... Crossmember is ready to go so will be putting that back in soon too.

Re: Datto_610's 180B Time for a beHeading :(
Sorry for keeping everyone in suspense. Got head off yesterday with help from James and Dan, we were expecting the worst but it's not as bad as we thought. It looks like something has gotten inside the engine and #4 piston has smashed it into the head which is the cause of that ticking sound. There is a little damage to the top of the piston but should be ok with a little bit of a scuff. Will be getting some quotes this week to get the head repaired and might get the cams ground while they're out too. So all going to plan once head is fixed I'll be able to fire her up again and have no horrible noises!

No idea. Don't know if the motor was like that so start with or if something fell in it while I had the manifolds off At least I can get it sorted now.
