Tridies will be happening after the manual and all that jazz is done. Ew yuck Bart there will be no Eagers near this car... but by the same token a super small tyre also won't be used... but it should still look the part.

So yeah, after an 1100km round trip, I now own a second of these fine automobiles.

Thanks go out to dad, for finding it for me, Chris for the trailer hire, sheepers for being a passenger and the Wellington and Palmy crew for turning up to the Otaki lunch meet!

Plans? Well, it's a parts car. Bit o' rust going on in the old girl, however the plates are still live! Has a good motor, diff, bumpers are ok, guards are useful if I ever get involved in a prang, tail lights, headlights, lots of little clips, brackets, etc etc... and it has the ultra BEST aftermarket rev counter I have ever seen! Cheap score with lots of use.

More photos to come!

So with the help of my good friend Mr. George Esprit, the new old Datsun was wheeled into his cavernous garage and the disassembly process begun! First though, some shots of mine next to the standard 260C for a bit of ride height comparison.

Thus far, it has turned into this many parts after an afternoons work. Only needed the grinder twice to get a couple of philips head screws with pre-mashed heads out.

The garage is 150m2, the house attached is 75m2... it's perfection.

So, I bid adieu to the parts Cedric. Had a truck booked to pick it up, truck didn't show up on time. It happened to be inorganic week. Some scavenger type stopped on the roadside and couldn't believe his luck when I told him he could have the shell. I bet he shouted a round down at the tavern that night. Last I saw of it was them trying to flat tow a rolling body that had no steering or brakes....

In other news I have a swag of parts for this I should really get around to taking a few photos of prior to the next stage of the build. Carbs, manual stuff, soon to have headers as well. 4 door 260Z.

In the meantime I've been driving it every weekend, including yesterday where the car was employed for wedding duties by forum user "Spooch" and thankfully it didn't break down. Success. Great light on the drive home meant it would have been rude of me not to stop and snap some picturesque photos. As below.
