Whats a 1980 120y sedan worth?

Hi, first post here, maybe the first of many depending on the outcome.

I have a 4WD im selling, worth 2-2.5grand (asking price of 2300 at the mo). I guy I know has offered me a trade for his 120y sedan. I know nothing about it and havnt seen it, he told me just to come around and have a look at it, but I would rather have an idea of what they are worth before I show up. Are these circle headlights or the newer, uglier square headlights?

The things I do know:

Lowered on orignal wheels
New clutch
New wheel bearings
Needs a sealed headlight
No carpet
Runs well

Just wanting a ballpark figure of what it would be worth on average? I would probably only do it if its a round headlight model and worth a little more than my 4wd - I have so many vehicles I really need to get rid of some rather than swap, but if its a good deal I could always sell something else. Thoughts?

Wof reg? A15? 4 or 5 speed but 2.5 sounds fair if its tidyish

My opinion:

If its sound enough with reg & wof...
A12 & 4 speed > $1800-2200
A15 & 5 speed > $2500-$3000

headlight is cheap fix, carpets you looking around $300 for new aftermarket

Check what model 120y it is.
Both the B210's, and the B310's were badged as 120y's.
Also, no carpet rings alarm bells for me. Get a good torch, and have a good hard look under the dash at the floor of the heater plenium. The water drains are prone to getting blocked/they weren't very well rust proofed from new. So they rot out. and this lets water into the car. which would be the number one reason why it has no carpet.

1980 bart?? - can almost put lotsa $$ down that that is a 310 - most probs a round headlight. agree with kitch on $$

thanks for your answers... Its not wofed at the moment, just needs the headlight according to the owner, but would be taking it to mate that owns a garage to check it out first. Cool, thanks for the tip on the heater, will check. May try and get a bit of cash my way then, depending on the condition. Im sure this info is somewhere, but whats the diff between the 210 and 310? Any other particular rust prone areas? Read here firewall and rear quarters, but not sure if that applies to this model.

If it is a 120Y it will be A12 and four speed unless it has been changed
And Sunnys can rust almost anywhere.

yeap, just contacted the owner, 1200 4 speed round headlight in black

prob go look at it this week.

Black was not a factory colour, in other words it has been repainted. A good rust search along roof seams, doors, rear quarters and boot would be worth doing.
