Im having trouble sourcing some wheel nuts for my ssr mk 2's. Apparently thet require a M12 x 1.5 pitch shank nut with a shank OD of 17mm.
The pic below explains.
Who on this forum runs SSR mk 2's or similar and where did they source their wheel nuts from. I have been told that i need to get them custom made as they are extremenly hard to find and only sold in japan.
Anyone with a lathe could turn those down in a jiffy.
Although are you sure you don't just need tapered lug nuts?
17mm OD with a 12mm thread would only give you a 2.5mm wall?
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
There seem to be quite a few in the Nice catalogue that have a 17.1mm diameter shank, this is the common brand that's sold in NZ. Page 27 has one type of nut that is 17.0mm, they don't show them as having washers though.
I Have quite a few photos of some of the prep work that has gone into this old girl, its been 6 months or so off the road now so many hours been spent on this i swear every panel was fucked had about 3-4 crashes at some stage, but shes all straight as and have used filler to a absolute minimum and all the rust has been cut out and treated, is booked in the paint shop for the 1/10/13 cannot wait for the finished car and be able to cruise her around in the summer like a wagon is built for!
