Freight services from Auckland for sending wheels???

Post by gingofthesouth »

Ok, so letting the cat out of the bag a little, i have finally purchased some new wheels for my 510.

I need to get them from Auckland to Wellington. Guy who has the rims quoted me $210 which I found out was by couriering them here....

Any ideas, tips, experiences RE freighting wheels and who I should go with etc? Also pitfalls etc.
Any info appreciated.

Ernest

ps. Got a second set too (thanks Dylan!), depending on which set suits my car the best I may have some JDM rims for sale lol.

You could also pair them up and send them through NZPost. Probably pay about $30-$35 a pair at a guess. Depending on size and weight.

They all have brand new tyres, so i think they would be somewhat heavier. Thanks for the leads, I will enquire!

Be careful. If the total weight is more than 25kg per item then the couriers wont touch it. They will send itdown via truck and that can get expensive. Ask for them to be bubble wrapped and boxed. Also try get some insurance incase they get damaged or broken
