Just wondering how low you boys 1200's are out there.
I have 185/55/14 tires (560mm diameter)
My current ride height (car not fully fitted out / weighed down):
Front & rear of sill 140mm (to tip of seam)
Cross member 140mm
Rear leaf front eye underside 115mm
bottom of rear shock eyes 120mm
Just wondering if that is in the ballpark with what you guys are running out there?
any feedback would be appreciated

Mines the same. Lowest point of the sills are 140mm but haven't changed my mags yet. I'm also going to fun 14's and I think about the same size rubber.

My tyre diameter is 480mm with 175 50 13s on 6.5 inch rims
To the pinch rail at the front 65mm
Cross member 60mm
and sump 40mm I need to get a guard made up lol.
Still sorting the back suspension but I will be getting it down to match.

Re: How low is your 1200?
Damn this is dangerous talk
I was guna dick around and make up some slightly shorter shackels and get custom leaves made up with a flipped eye at the rear end and ''un-flipped eye at the front (would foul on front mount if i jst flipped a standard pair) but i may just go the easy route n pull out the 2'' blocks and replace them with a pair of dirty big 3'' blocks.
Ive never been happy with the way it sits slightly higher at the back

Re: How low is your 1200?
legally your blocks can only be a maximum of 2".
I have reset leaves, extra leaf added and 40mm blocks in back of mine.
given i want it driveable with gear in boot and kids in back its not to far away i think

Totally agree with you man, i think your on the money height wize, low enuf to look mean while still keeping it practical.Kitch wrote:legally your blocks can only be a maximum of 2".

Yeah 3'' blocks are not legit, Im just not happy with the way mine sits atm, but thats jst me.
The leaves have been reset as far as they could go without wreaking the spring.
On the ute the tower mount that comes off the chassis rail that the top of the shackel bolts thru is alot bigger than that of a coupe or sedan- roughly 100mm from the bottom off chassis rail to the centre of the shackel bolt hole.
Ive thort about shortening them but then you start to change the diff angle.
I dont like the idea of using 3'' blocks, to my mind they would increase the tendancy to axel tramp, and stand out like dogs bollocks- and also the legal thing... But it is the easiest and most cost effective way to go more low at the mo, -and i can always swap the 2" blocks back in easy enuf
