Have we missed the boat? Could a mission still be do-able?

I think we have missed the boat . I think they have fuckd it up as most of the international competitors only come out because of a whole month of classic racing, i doubt we will see half the cars the we would have seen had it been held in feb.
Its also far too close to both islands annual event, the Taupo cruise and the Akaroa cruise

Last year was very special. It really was a step backwards to go from high summer to the cold part of the year. Is anyone interested in a day trip down on the sunday?

not after last years effort ,I would need to spend the next couple of months at the gym just to have the staminer to do that again, besides chances are it will be pissing with rain and cold as a brass monkeys balls.

Dont get me wrong last year was bloody gold, biggest Datsun meet to date in this country. But i just dont think we can get the numbers like that again and the racing aint gonna be nearly as good.
better off focusing on Akaroa and gettin the inc soc stuff ready for that. I gonna give Hayden a bell from Oamaru.
Any you Dunners boys gonna make the trip up labour weekend? Im sure someone can put ya up on a spare bed or couch somewhere.

Not going to commit 100%, but ill probably be keen to go for a look... never been before and i want to check it out

We'd really need to get at least a modest colection of cars together to make a mission worthwhile. I doubt they'd want us there with less than seven or eight cars Although who knows?
It's a big pity that we've been without a site for so long it's starting to look like that ship has sailed for this year.........
