5 speed into b210
Hi guys. Im looking at putting an A series 5 speed into my '78 120y. Was just wondering if anything needs to be changed or will it bolt straight in? Cheers
Re: 5 speed into b210
Ive got a 5speed sittimg in the shed to stick in my 75 120y coupe. As far as I can tell it will need a new or modified crossmember and there may be clearance issues with the reverse switch (as there is on 1200s). Driveshaft is the same as the 4speed.
Hope thst helps, let me knw if you find anything else. The dude on here with the freshly painted 120y wagon has put a 5speed in so I think he should be abke to addanything missing.
Cheers

Hey mate, when I put the 5speed in my 120y the crossmember bolts didnt quite line up.
It mustn't have been by much, I just slotted the holes out in the crossmember until the bolt holes
lined up then cut abit of plate steel the right shape to fit in the crossmember and drilled
out the holes to suit. You wouldn't even know its been fuckd with looks legit
