what diff do i have? does anyone have one?
hey alot of you would have seen my car, the 1979 160j SSS im wondering what diff is in it because i want to find another one i can weld up so i can do the odd skid here and there or maybe find an lsd that will fit without changing the housing? it is live axle if this helps anyone thanks in advance

Im sure these are H165 or could be H190 - you got a pic of it - count the bolts that hold the diff to the housing too.

your car is a PA10 yeah?
I'd wager it'll be an H165.
The good news is the same diff head was fitted to,
Early C20 vans,
L16 powered solid rear axle 910 bluebirds,
all 910 bluebird wagons,
Datsun 1200 utes,
Some S12's,
810 Wagons,
610 wagons,
And maybe S110's.
The bad news is, I'm not sure if any other housings will be a direct bolt into your car. So you might have to pull out the diff head to swap them over which is a pretty dirty job. (I used to swap in a locked head for drag racing, and it wasn't much fun)
