Ticking a few things off the list...

have re-run new heavier comprehensive 12v network.
This includes a new 50a relay for the bosch fuel pump.
new 3 way distribution block with 30a fuses. (General 12v feed + fuel pump + headlight relay feed)
I ended up running general 12v & the headlight cables up and around roof and out top of A pillar.
Finished applying mass loaded vinyl to boot area.
made new battery box mount spacers & mocked up
drained & dropped fuel tank & fixed leaky bung .

Picked up a nos front grill emblem off the tard to match my nos rear one :D

more wiring last few days.... but just about finished.
Just bit of tidying up to do.

Got all new head light wiring to my new relays & new H4's/Raybrigs,
they are nice and bright (and white)
Have a prob with the high beam loop though, as when you switch high beam
lights turn off completely....
When I tested 12V bypass test feed to the relays they go all good on high & low beam.
Will strip the stalk switch assembly and work my way through the wiring to
identify where prob is, maybe a short somewhere or just faulty connection or the likes.
Fuse block has some corrosion to, damn 42 year old electrical system...

looking good kitch, is the high beam relay triggering when you put the high beam on? is it earthed?

no - no signal to relay when you push the indicator arm towards dash, also blue light on dash does not come on.

The relays are setup as a paired bank with shared, 12V & earth feeds. (obliviously seperate switch signals & outputs)

Relay & high beam circuit definitely work when you 'jumper' it.

Now here is a dumb question,.... :?

is the low beam circuit meant to turn off when high beam is operated?

I had in my mind low beam is always on, and high beam kicks in for over & above brightness...
but is it an actual either/or situation? ie you run low beam only circuit or high beam only circuit?

Sorry Kitch no the low beam turns off when high beam is turned on. Have you got the knob right out? First position low and park. Second low and high. ;)

All sorted - thanks for the advice / tips guys....

So traced problem to headlight switch...
pulled it to bits, and found one of the wee springs, that push out the contact bars,
was bound up, corroded and jammed down short, so not making contact...

Had to sacrifice two pens, to find right size spring!

Stripped it, sanded back contact terminals & regreased it up
