Thanks. Thats right calibre do a black gauge that looks really similar. I wonder if they do a speedo. To googleclassicdat wrote:Supercheap. Or Get your datsun club repco card and go for it at repco.

Ok random questions as ive been looking into this. What gauges work without a ecu??
Re: Can you fit a r33 gtr gauge cluster to a datsun??
It depends on the gauge and what type of sender it needs. there is no one answer.
eg you can get mechanical speedos (which run off a gearbox speedo drive) or some spedos run of an electrial signal.

Ok i guess it will be best to see if i have mechanical or electrical then go from there. Thanks

your speedo will be mechanical, tacho will be electric (runs off the coil), all others will be electrical (ie they have their own sensors)
If you want to fit a new speedo you will have a tough job making it read properly (you will either need to calibrate to work using your existing speedo drive, or if you get an electric one you will need to somehow install a speed sensor).
Replacement tacho is easy, same for water temp + oil pressure (as long as you use the senders that come with the gauges).
Keep the original gauges. much simpler and it wont look stupid.
Also get your car won the road before worrying about useless shit like this.
