Looking to Join the Club

Post by Riidler »

Ok, so i am thinking about buying a datsun, specifically a 1972 2000gt. I am fairly new to this and was looking for advice as to any good sites in japan or else where to buy one one from ( yes i am aware they are expensive mostly looking to get a feel for the market at this stage).
Any other advice anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Welcome, have a look on http://www.goo-net-exchange.com, other than that search Google for Japan car auctions.

Hey Riidler, welcome!

Yahoo! Japan is a good place to start. I personally use Goo-net Exchange (as DJZ also suggested) for the same reason as you, getting the feel for what things are going for/the market.

Depending on your capabilities with all things relating to imports, you may need to go through an importer. They usually have someone on the ground, and sometimes for a small fee, can help you find your ideal car (I have a crowd here in OZ keeping an eye out on a few classic Datsuns based on a variety of particulars). They also do all the heavy lifting etc.

Good luck with tracking down a 2000GT. Can be pricey, and not everyone is keen to export. Be nice to see one :)
