3 piece wheel bands

Post by mitey1200 »

ok ive searched and searched but cant get a definitive answer.
I want new outer bands made for my 13inch ssr starsharks and fitted.
Elite wheels do it, Arrow wheels does them, Pine Engineering doesn't do them, Royce Clive Engineering doesn't do them. Whitehorse industries do them but they are in Australia and Gavin Bateman race cars does them but heard he has sold up and the business has gone to shit.
Every good comment ive heard, ive heard a bad one about each of them :deadhorse:

So I just want to hear from people who have actually had there three piece wheels widened, not just rumours etc. cheers

Back when I had mine done Elite didn't do them (I asked them in person) and seemed surprised that someone was actually doing it, Bateman did mine in the end and I did have some issues but overall the job itself was good, the customer service and communication was poor, whether it has actually changed hands or not I'm not sure.

Bateman did mine about 18 months ago and I had a similar experience to DJZ.I'm very happy with the finished product though.

These things are like tuners, for every good story there's a bad one.Just the nature of the beast I guess

cheers for the replies guys.
The lack of communication can be frustrating but as long as the finished product is good then I'm happy. might go with Batemans then

Bateman did mine,
I had clear communication though out the whole process.

He was awesome to deal with. Double checked everything with me.
I got what I asked for.

Couldn't recommend him more.
