L31 stoker build

Hi guys,With it being winter i can't really do alot of panel or painting to the Ced,So i will start my L31 stoker build.Does any one know who would be the best person to talk to about the build,Has any build one of these motor before?

Pretty sure El Presidente DJZ has built at least one of these.

Yeap, my old motor was 3133cc, 89.5mm bore, LD crank, Z24 pistons, L20ET rods.

Road or race I have a 2.8 3.1 and 3.4 for my race car all have there good and bad points.

Just a road car,I have a set of HKS 89.5mm Stoker pistons,The guy that sold them to me said I'll need some L20 rods which i have.But am thinking they are to short,I could be wrong.

Early L20A and 9mm bolt L24 rods are the same.

If it's these pistons you're talking about

Putting those specs into one of the L series engine calculators shows that with an LD crank, L28 rods, 1mm head gasket and 89mm bore you will end up with around 10:1 compression. Using L24 or L20 rods would have the piston sticking out above deck height by more than 2mm.

There are a few calculators around, this is the first one that came up but the downloadable one is better.

Ok, so the the L20 con rods (out of the inline 6) is good to use?

Not chasing HP just want a good NA motor and i have the pistons all ready,I have two heads L26 and L28,Think they are both the same,Anyway one of them is going to be ported,Bigger cams etc.
