hey guys my names luke, i am a huge appreciator for Datsuns and all cars pre 85, i am a painter paper hanger by trade and am looking to get further into the Datsun club and general oldschool automotive community , my only dat is a c20 vanette, kind-of a daily kind-of a work van but is and will be an ongoing project, i consider myself a hobbyist mechanic/panel beater , i work in creative and different ways with all things automoive, never one to take the easy road on any build, always think outside the square and keen to see what other project you guys have going,my mate Andrew (joined just recently)and i got our selves our own work shop and are really starting to rip into the projects we have been putting off for soo long, I have to make a shout out to Simon i think it is, who sold me an A15 for the van awhile back and talked me into joining, cheers man motor goes hard!
i must say im very impressed with the club page and its good to join a club with such a good reputation and following, looking forward to getting involved with this great thing you guys have going,

Love the Van. I look forward to seeing it on some cruises soon, I can only ever remember one C20 on a cruise, and it didn't look any where near as cool as your's looks.

Nice, had one of these when they weren't so cool, it went pretty well even on CNG
Handy hint though, if you do bring it out suggest you keep an eye on the engine otherwise one of us might try to pinch it for a project car

I have a soft spot for C20's. My old one would climb all the way off the clock, even after I fitted 215/65/15's to it.
The things that makes my juices flow about C20's are:
Decent sized wheel arches. (You can get lots of rubber under them)
Strong gearbox and Diff. (H190 rear axle, and a 60 series gearbox)
And best of all, the factory exhaust manifold discharges completely clear of the steering/engine mounts. (Unlike the datsun cars) So it would be very very very easy to fit a turbocharger to an A series in a C20.

haha cheers guys, even without the quads i can still get her up off the clock, not a huge fan of the front suspension setup tho she gets priti skatey round corners , over all not bad for a $400 van

I dont think theres a chance for a plus t conversion at this stage, (he wont budge on it ) N/A allday. also what are people using for heavy valve springs ? revs and quad carb cant get much better ???

Kelford cams sell double valve springs for them.
Stay away from the "competition springs" (Or was it "performance springs"?) CB04A02 springs. They're a disposbale item. (Like replace them every season in a racecar. Given enough street kms, they break.
He could turbo this cheaper than doing bike carbs I reckon.
150 for a turbo, 50 for an SU carb, and another 50 for a few misc parts.

out of curiosity what do people think a bike carb conversion costs? if i was going to turbo id use r1 carbs setup and blow through or r1 injected setup as its cheaper than carbs by far,
