Air Cleaner for A15 carb

Post by DATY12 »

I'm in the process of replacing my carb on my A15.
Im not running side drafts just a standard carb, have previously been using a Ramflow filter but want to go to something a bit better.
Does anyone have any ideas of what works well?
Was thinking of going to a K&N style chrome top round filter or similar but I am open to ideas.

Also if anyone has anything for sale or ideas of what to use I would be most grateful.

If anyone has any sidedrafts to suit I may also be interested in them for the right price.
You can never have too many options :D

I have a K&N (chrome round top style) and seems pretty good. Its almost too loud compared to the factory air cleaner but I guess whatever floats your boat.

Cheers Beaver, the Ramflow is quite noisy so hopefully a K&N will have a better note.
Did you manage to get an off the shelf item or did you have to modify it to fit?

I suspect the ramflo and the K&N will sound very similar (essentially minimal noise reduction over running no filter).

Its a direct fit, no mods. Not sure on part number as I got it second hand,
