surely there is cover in the consumers guarantees act? I guess it would cost more to pursue than it is worth but maybe the threat of a small claim makes it worth more to defend than it is worth?
I am no lawyer mind, so it may not be covered.

Re: WTF!!!!! / FAIL THREAD
terms on this is at owners risk, not covered unless damage is intentional, my point to them was that a pallet was intentionally put on my roof, it didn't get there by accident, my package is clearly labelled as a roof, and therefore im covered, at this the man accepted I had a pretty good point and have now received the documentation to refund my freight costs.
I have been pondering the point of at owners risk, in the regard that a lot of owners may not be aware of this as its often the previous owner who drops off the freight . if the freight company doesn't contact the (owner) then the contract is with the person dropping off the freight , therefore at owners risk may not apply, as the owner has not signed the contract.

From here.
I would have thought removing an oil filter from a L series was about the easiest job I could ever think of, apparently some people still have trouble! 300+ comments and he still hasn't managed to get it off...

I'd just whack a pin punch in those oil holes, and unscrew it with a hammer.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
Re: WTF!!!!! / FAIL THREAD
That was suggested within the first 5 comments (read the whole thing for lulz last night). He did that. Also tried a screwdriver. Then a chisel. People told him not to use the chisel, he used the chisel anyway and wrecked the metal. About 100 different ways were suggested to remove the filter, none were tried.Bartman wrote:I'd just whack a pin punch in those oil holes, and unscrew it with a hammer.
I just checked again and he's at 500+ comments and the filter still seems to be holding out. He has managed to damage a spark plug though:
