Is that bearing material on the rotor gear, or has the hardening worn through?
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Seeing your R5 center housing, reminds me of how I dumped a 3B center plate back before I knew any better.........

Attacked my exhaust ports with the grinder as iv put a deposit on a pair of new supposedly last pre 85 housing from Mazda ,also gave engine a lick of paint as I wait to get my stat bearings sorted seems the thickness of bearings is to much that they won't go on e shaft ImageImage

Frustrating day working on Datsun today got engine mounted up in car ready to fire but was not able to establish oil pressure ,so out the engine came again and off with the oil pump and now I have to wait till Tuesday for a new competition oil pump from Mazda ,I guess I should have known that somthink like a oil pump failure to cause my spun rotor bearing n warped stat gears before we rebuilt instead I'd just had put it down to wear in tear was the cause ,mayb not? Also ran a tyre over at last autocross which ripped a sway bar bracket off , so made a ally sump /stone guard which has been on the to do list for a while now
