1984 Nissan Sunny E15 Getting a lot of interest lately...

Post by iceyice »

I have been having a huge amount of interest in this car lately without even putting it up for sale. It was my first car and used to be the family car, and it means a lot to me. My dad has taken excellent care of it and it's by far my favourite car to drive.

As of about a month ago I have had several people approach me trying to buy the cars and now the offers are in the thousands and I am trying to figure out where is all this interest coming from. I have been asking around but all my mates think I'm just getting set-up. So far I can't think how someone can scam me by offering to give me cash...

I figured this is the best place to ask the experts if the interest in my vehicle is real and if anyone has any ideas why there is sudden interest in my lil wagon.

Its a 2 door hatchback, manual, everything original. Runs sweet, no rust etc. Not like the guys making the offers know that though...

Any feedback or thoughts would be much appreciated! Let me know if I'm posting in the wrong area.

Cheers :highfive:

Nice Sunny. Do you still have the trim for the side window. I recently sold a 1983 Sunny B11 Coupe with an E15 for $1300 with low kms. It is about all they are worth here, unless you can find a fan. As I found parts can be scarce and very hard to find.

Cheers. I do still have the trim and a few spare bits here and there that me and Dad have managed to scrape together over the years. We removed it when we took all the panels off. Did a massive job a couple years ago removing any rust we could find, fish oiled everything to rust proof and repainted the panels we removed.

Where the plastic cladding would lock into the body would build up with moisture and muck so we decided to forgo them in the meantime to stop any rust from reappearing.

I either must have found a couple big fans or someone is trying to mess with me. I am getting offers much greater than $1300 at the moment.

Got any pics of your coupe you sold??

No I havn't any pics handy sorry. It was red and very faded, but no rust. Unless a B11 Sunny is in mint condition, anywhere between $800 and $1800 is the norm for an average one. Someone may be having you on as the scammers have contacted me each time recently I have been selling a car. As people are wising up to them they may be trying new tactics. If someone is true they will wave cash under your nose if they really want your Sunny.
