great progress on this, see brocky on here for your shocks etc, he works at bnt, summer is here (just not today lol) its a good time to be driving a classic.

Well it's all done finally, I'd forgotten how time-intensive wrenching is especially when bits get mislaid, however it fired up easily and sounds strong! Took it for a shake down run locally, keeping the revs up around 3,000 and doing plenty of light pulls to bed everything in. Glad I fully balanced the engine as it seems extremely smooth - apparently even the front pulley needed quite a few balancing holes drilled in it.
Peter is installing engine and road dynos in his workshop shortly, so I'll be back there once it's fully run in to put it on the rolling road to optimize the mixture and advance curve.
